Ok you’ve decided you want to sell your home, but there are several homes similar to yours already for sale in your neighbourhood. The same landscaping interlock or patterned concrete driveways, decks in the yard etc.
What will make yours stand out is simple.
Lesson 1 retain the services of an experienced realtor one who will give you their honest professional opinion of the value of your home and it’s appeal to a prospective buyer.
Lesson 2 do not I repeat do not hire a realtor who is a yes man. One who agrees with everything you say and is too afraid of loosing the listing to disagree with you. A true professional will not beat around the bush making small talk, but goes directly to the point at hand and that’s the sale of your home.
Lesson 3 is your kitchen and bath. If your home is beautifully decorated throughout, but the kitchen and bath fades in comparison that’s the deal breaker.
People spend most of their time in the kitchen it is a place of family reunions, birthdays and social gatherings.
A kitchen that is updated with new cabinets granite counter tops and shiny new stainless steel appliances will stand out in a buyers mind more often then will the family swing set and badminton net in the backyard.
The next is the bathroom, new fixtures updated vanities showers and baths along with gleaming ceramics floors and pot lights enhance the primitive bath to that of an oasis to enjoy.
